The SUNY Washington Internship Program allows students to experience the excitement of our nation’s capital, an ideal location for direct involvement in politics and a wide range of professional fields. Participants typically intern four days per week while engaging in a Friday seminar course, which includes guest speakers and visits to institutions such as the Supreme Court, U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, and Smithsonian museums.

This session will provide an overview of this exceptional experiential learning opportunity, open to students of all majors during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. They will cover application logistics, program details, and answer any questions.

In just one semester or summer you can:
• Participate in an internship in a high profile organization in spring, summer or fall
• Meet weekly with top leaders
• Conduct in-depth research on a topic you choose
• Take a class with high profile guest speakers
• Live in the vibrant city of Washington D.C.
• Earn college credits towards your degree
• Enhance your resume and jump start your career

There are internship opportunities for almost any major!
