Teaching

I have taught at the university level since 2002.  Courses I have instructed at SUNY New Paltz include Seminar in Digital Filmmaking, Field Production, TV Studio Production, Audio Production, Writing for Digital Media, History of American Television, and Television in American Culture.

My interests include digital filmmaking, general media production, new distribution paradigms, international and collaborative media creation, media theory, critical theory, popular culture, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, and Batman.  Yes, Batman gets to end that sentence. I weave questions of professional ethics, aesthetics and meaning, impact, and legal considerations into much of the course material, and this is also where much of my research resides as well.
