Asian Studies Fall Festival Recap

Dear Asian Studies Community,

Thank you to those who attended the Fall Festival celebration on September 26th. Unlike other years the celebration was held in the library lobby. Over One Hundred Students attended the event. Students from the East-West Living Learning Community prepared the food, and presented on their culture, and how they celebrate the holiday. Professor Harris also provided delicious Moon cakes from New York City. The food was so good that we ran out of it fast!

In Addition to the great food, and informative presentations students who attended were able to play games, and practice their calligraphy. The popular Japanese game “Kingyo Sukui” (Goldfish Scooping) was available, and students enjoyed scooping the toy goldfish. Overall the event was a huge success. Attendees learned, played games, and ate great food. A Big thanks to all of the Organizers, Margaret Betaudier (secretary, and photographer), and students from the East-West Living Learning Community.
