Join us for a virtual conversation with the book’s co-editor Dr. Benjamin Junge (Anthropology and LACS) and two of the authors– Carlos Eduardo Henning (Universidade Federal de Goiás) and Sarah LeBaron Von Baeyer (Tufts University). The book brings together ethnographic accounts of how Brazilians from diverse walks of life have experienced and responded to economic precarity, political crisis, and diminishing hopes for the future from 2013 to 2019. Dr. Henning will share with us his work on LGBTTI Elders in Brazil and Dr. LeBaron Von Baeyer will address her work on Brazilians of Japanese descent and their stances vis-a-vis Bolsonaro’s rule.
