Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi, the Consul General of Japan in New York has realized that the COVID-19 Pandemic has been incredibly hard on local Japanese and Japanese American musicians. To give artists an outlet to share their music, the Japan Information Center has organized Friday Night Live – a concert series streamed from the Ambassador’s Residence to Facebook.
We thought you or your students might be interested in our upcoming concert featuring renowned Koto and Jiuta Shamisen player Masayo Ishigure. The concert goes live on our Official Facebook page at 5PM EST on Friday, February 19th.
