We will organize the Mid-Autumn festival on Sep. 26 (Wed) at Library Lobby (5-7PM). This popular event organized by Asian Studies in every fall semester introduces how east Asian countries (China, Korea, Japan) celebrate the mid-autumn or 中秋, the full moon day of the mid-August of the lunar calendar (it corresponds to Sep. 24 of the Gregorian calendar in 2018). With the generous support from the Center for International Program, the festival of this year also celebrates the opening of the East-West Living and Learning Community (EWLLC) for the year 2018-2019. EWLLC members and student volunteers will do presentations about the mid-autumn and also serve Chinese/Korean/Japanese food (it’s free!). In addition, the library will also exhibit books featuring the autumn in Asia to support the event (Sep. 24-30).

Since this is one of the nice occasions for Asian Studies students and faculty to get together, please join us in the library lobby on Sep. 26 evening. Let’s celebrate the most beautiful and plentiful season of the year!
