Synopsis/Reflection

This virtual presentation is addressed to congress and I’m requesting for immigrants to become citizens. Viewers would have strong and different opinions to my argument, but I believe my viewers would be more likely to agree with me after they learn about the positive effects and benefits from immigrants gaining citizenship.

Through logos, I used strong research to support why immigrants should be citizens and also included counter arguments to show those who disagree how they were wrong, which furthers my point. Through pathos, I presented how immigrants face trauma by speaking on how they are badly treated, both in their countries and the United States, which connects with the emotional side of my viewers. Ethos is also present from first hand experience through my mother who has been dealing with immigration for many years, which appeals to viewers because aside from my research, I definitely understand immigration on a personal level.

Lastly, I use engaging images so people want to keep watching my presentation. Through sound, I use my voice to emphasize important points of the presentation and keep a positive voice, so viewers keep paying attention and are persuaded.
