Moving Images

Focus Question: How did the iterative design thinking process come into play in this activity?

There was a lot of trial and error in our project. We had many ideas and kind of hit of few bumps during the building stage at what we wanted. We wanted the project to vibrate to move the images. During the beginning stages, we tried to used a fan to blow them a certain way, but the engine did not have enough power for our plan. We ended up creating this piece that vibrated and rotated. We created a story with the images we chose.

What did you learn? Describe your learning process. What was most challenging? What was most fun?

I learned more about the engineering and technical aspects during this project. We were able to solve some small problems like . I felt like our project could have used space a little better as well as movement. We didn’t have to keep our project so confined to the “theater” space we made. I thought it was challenging in our allotted time to collaborate our ideas together since I think all of our ideas worked separately on their own, but when combined

How did this activity connect (or not) to your prior knowledge of art and art education? How might you use and/or adapt this activity in an art classroom?

This project related to the scribble bots in the way we designed our project to wiggle and vibrate. I think I would create a project similar
