Come enjoy the equinox sunset at the Mohonk Preserve. Wildflower wander, rock scramble, or moderate hike hosted by Madeline Veitch (STL), Catherine Herne (Physics), and Sarah Wyman (English / FDC). Carpool from behind the FDC (4 p.m.), or meet us on the mountain at the Spring Farm parking lot (4:20). Non-hikers/ non-walkers can meet us for sunset picnic on the drive-in field, 6:40 p.m. Bring your own Mohonk Pass or, contact Sarah Wyman (email@example.com) to register for one.

Meet at Plattekill Ave. parking lot behind College Hall, near New Science Building for 4 p.m. departure or Spring Farm parking lot (directions below).
Significant others, including dogs on leashes, friends, and kids welcome. 30 free passes reserved for faculty until 2 p.m. that day.
For the rock scramble, wear loose clothing and closed-toe shoes. Bring water.

Take the New Paltz exit 18 off of the NYS Thruway. Go west on Route 299 (Main St.through New Paltz), go over steel bridge and turn right onto Springtown Road. Make a left onto Mountain Rest Road. Pass the entrance to the Mohonk Mountain House and go under the one-lane bridge. Continue on 1 mile, and turn right on Upper 27 Knolls Road. Within ¼ mile, you’ll reach the kiosk for the Spring Farm Trailhead. This is the trailhead for Bonticou Crag as well as the Table Rocks Trail.
