I am on the wait list. When/how will I find out if there is room for me to attend?
As of October 4, registration is full. If you are on the wait list and any space opens up, you will be notified by Friday, October 7, via email.

What will I get out of participating in the SSSS?
In addition to interacting and engaging with colleagues doing similar work, you will have the opportunity to join a consortium of K-12 school districts across the Hudson Valley region. Your participation in the consortium is up to you — it can be as passive as receiving blog updates via email or as active as organizing next year’s Summit. More information will be available at the SSSS.

Who should attend the SSSS?
The SSSS is appropriate for any administrator or teacher in a K-12 district or any teacher education faculty member. Please register a team of 2 people from your K-12 district or university department.

What do I need to do to prepare for the event?
Be sure to register prior to the event. There are only 45 participant slots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Should I bring my own lunch?
A light breakfast and full lunch will be served. Please indicate dietary restrictions when you register.

What should I expect of the day?
Check out the agenda to get a better idea of how the day is structured. Plan to present in lightning-fast presentations (3 minutes or less) during the Smackdown on any cool edtech projects or activities going on in your district. Leave with ideas you can implement tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year.

Do I need to BYOD (bring my own device)?
Having your own digital device on hand for the day would be ideal. Access to Google Drive will be necessary to participate in co-created documents or projects. We will have iPads on hand for your use just in case.

How much does it cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate. If you do not think you will be able to participate after registering, please let Kiersten know at greenek@newpaltz.edu.

What about parking?
You will be provided with a parking pass for the day via email that will allow you to park in any lot on campus that is not reserved for students. You will be required to print and display the permit on your vehicle’s dashboard. Please see this link for more information about parking at SUNY New Paltz.

Where can I get more information if I still have questions?
Please email Kiersten Greene at greenek@newpaltz.edu with any additional questions.
