Closing [Director, Center for Innovation in Education]
Karen Bell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching & Learning at the State University of New York at New Paltz. She is the founding Director of the Center for Innovation in Education (CIE@NP), a SUNY-backed downstate innovation hub that is helping expand clinically-rich preparation of teachers and leaders. The CIE@NP’s mission is to advance collaboration, enrich curriculum and enhance clinical practice across all levels of learning. Karen’s scholarship draws on questions related to STEM education, multi-disciplinary curriculum, 3D printing, and TeachLivE™. She was awarded the 2014 Chancellor’s Award for Professional Service for her long-term work on multiple central and statewide committees related to teacher preparation.
