Models for Professional Development [Learning Session A]
Daniel Roberto is a Technology Integration Specialist for the Wappingers Central School District. Dan’s position allows him to work closely with teachers and administrators to provide professional development opportunities for integrating technology into the curriculum. He began his teaching career as a Social Studies teacher at Louis D. Brandeis High School in Manhattan and then taught 8th grade at Wappingers Junior High School. In 2010, he received his National Board Certification in Adolescent Social Studies. Daniel also serves the Secondary Education Department at SUNY New Paltz as an adjunct instructor. Daniel has served as an Understanding by Design curriculum trainer and is very active in the Edcamp foundation. He has organized multiple Edcamps for the Wappingers Central School District and was invited to attend the Edcamp Organizers Summit in Philadelphia and Edcamp DOED in Washington D.C this past year.
