Being able to organize my information into a proposal was a good way of visually seeing the information that I had and the topics that I maybe needed to expand upon. It helped me a ton with collecting my thoughts and making sure that I had the correct evidence to back up my essay. The hardest parts of an essay for me are always the introduction and conclusion. In my paper proposal, I tried starting with both of those because they outline practically everything that I am going to say in my essay. This type of technique not only helped me figure out exactly the way I wanted to go about writing the essay in order but also helped me stay on topic with the information and not include unnecessary information. Once I was able to get away from writing through the background knowledge and explanations of everything with the introduction, I could then focus solely on the core of the essay, which is evidence.
