The code poetry I created is based on an oil painting I made. I wrote a poem that reflects and relates to the imagery of the work. The painting serves as the background of the poem and I overlaid the poem on the image. I emphasized the first word of the poem to grab the attention of the viewer and to draw them in. Moreover, I animated the words of the poem so that they would slide from right to left across and off the screen. The words appear on the screen in the order they are meant to be read.
For this assignment, I found that I struggled working with the dreamweaver program since it was something I had never heard of or used before. I found it confusing to constantly switch from html to css to edit different parts of the project. Additionally, I had a hard time getting the words of my poem to move and become animated. I had difficulty getting my work to save properly even though the components were all in the same folder as well. I lost my piece twice and had to both restart and recover it. Overall, I did find this project to be interesting and informative of the effort that goes in to creating a html. I also enjoyed that I could pull the final work up on the internet.
