Review: My librarian in my town actually showed me this series of books when I had to do my book plan because we didn’t know what to do for energy so she helped me out. Turns out I couldn’t use that because its too boring to read to the children. But since I found out about the series I was able to use it for my second lesson plan. The book almost reads a s a text book but in a fun sort of way. I wouldn’t recommend reading as a story but still have it on your classroom bookshelf for when children have there own choice in reading when they have free time as a choice during that unit.

Content area. Besides ELA This book would be helpful for a second grade class room in the area of science because it has to deal wit h the science of sound energy

He would say please or thank you and would push other pasties around and wouldn’t listen to his parents. Then one night a Cyclops picks him out of bed and decided to wear him as a hat. The rude cake doesn’t enjoy this very much. But turns out the Cyclopes are very nice and have manners and when the Cyclops hears his “hat” talking he lets the cake speak his mind and in the end he lets the cake go. When the cake gets back to his room the cake realizes that manner and being nice to other cakes really matters and he is never rude again.
Review: I thought that the book was quiet cute and so glad that I found a fantasy one. I didn’t know what to pick for this category because when I think of fantasy I think of comic books and there isn’t many comic books during this specific age range. But I went to library and found this little gem, I would recommend this mainly for kindergartens to teach them manners and such, The older grades I think would find it funny if you just wanted to read it for fun and not a educational purpose at least no in the older grades. Content Area: This could be used under the subject area of community when trying to establish friendship and relationships between others. Also in the same content area this could be used to make a connection to bullying.
