Welcome back!
This semester the un-lock schedule of the building will be 7:30am-5pm M-F. The building will otherwise be locked and accessible by card access to students that are taking classes in the building until 2am. After-hours used to be granted only for BFA’s but we have decided to extend this to all students taking classes in the building and will see how this goes. We also now have card access set up on the bookbinding room and 103B so these labs are available via card access until 2am as well. All other spaces will follow the hours of the cage.
The cage will be open from 8am-9pm M-F and 11am-6pm weekends. This schedule also extends to related labs (those requiring keys: the darkroom, film room, lighting studio, room 106, and the print finishing room.) If a student would like to work in these spaces after-hours they will need to check out the key from the lab assistant one hour before closing time and return the key through the slot in the door when they are done.
The lighting studio, 44″ printer in 106, imacon scanner in 106, and the 2x 24″ printers in 103F are now available via the reservation system. There’s QR codes outside the door or they can access this link to sign up for a time slot. Note that they will need to be signed in to their Office365 account to access this page.
Sadly the wide format printers in the ‘wide format room’ are inoperative so the 24″ printers in 103F should be used in their place.
I am aiming to have the equipment cage fully open by the second week of classes but this is dependant on getting student employees hired and trained.
