Halloween in New Paltz!

We are seeking volunteers to assist with the two items below:

A) Holiday Window Painting: We need local artists and creatives who can assist with the supervision of our Halloween Window Painting event on Saturday, October 24th, from 10AM-2PM. I am currently reaching out to numerous store owners in the Village of New Paltz seeking the use of their exterior store front window space for youth artists in grades 6-12 to decorate. Volunteers will serve as a support person, work to ensure the windows are completed, and monitor the adherence of safety protocols (social distancing and wearing of face coverings).

B) “Grab & Go Trick or Treat Stations”- We are setting up five different grab & go stations around the Village of New Paltz. We will need help setting up the stations (i.e. carved pumpkin display, other decorations, placement of goodie bags for kids, painted selfie photo backdrops, etc.). In addition, we need folks to work at the stations. This will mean being in costume, utilizing PPE and safety protocols for the event, politely reminding folks to keep walking, encouraging them to check out the other stations, etc. Finally, we will need help cleaning up/breaking down the stations.

The set-up will probably start @ 10 a.m. and go until 11:30

Trick or treat is from 12PM-4PM.

Clean up from 4PM-5:30PM.
