Sign-ups are open for anyone interested in tutoring with Highland Residential Center in the fall. Highland Residential Center (HRC) is a juvenile detention facility where SUNY New Paltz students go to tutor each Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 (includes travel time). The tutoring is typically in the form of homework help at a middle to high school level as well as mentoring related to high school graduation, college, and work.

If you are interested,  please fill out the form at the link below no later than January 24. The program is limited to 12 tutors and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Tutoring will  be held on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm (including travel time) and we are able to offer some transportation using the HRC van, if needed. You must commit to EVERY SINGLE Tuesday in the semester, with the exception of school breaks. We will hold a mandatory orientation for all selected tutors on campus on Tuesday, January 29 from 6:30-8:30. I will be in touch with more information at the end of the week if you are selected.
