Ulster County’s Environmental Management Council (EMC) is holding a Waste Conference on Nov. 10th.  They are looking for several students to volunteer and help register participants, collect question cards and sort them, direct attendees, etc. The event is from 8:30am-1 at SUNY Ulster in Stoneridge. If many students are interested but don’t drive, we can try and arrange a carpool. Please contact Melissa.Iachetta@gmail.com if you are interested.
Also, the Environmental Management Council is looking for a dedicated student volunteer to attend monthly meetings and take minutes. They have no funding available for the position but it does offer experience in hearing about environmental concerns, finding out what is happening in Ulster Co. and networking with a lot of dedicated volunteers who are working toward a healthier environment.
