EDI393/593-01 BLACK CREEK GLASS EEL PROGRAM

The Black Creek Glass Eel project is a collaborative effort between the NYSDEC and SUNY New Paltz undergraduate and graduate students to monitor and study the American Eel, glass eel stage, and its environs to better understand fluctuations in populations. University students will work closely with middle school students in active scientific inquiry. Pre-service teachers gain significant understandings related to working with middle school age students in conducting relevant research in the real world.

This course is not just for Education majors – it is open to all disciplines.
