Image may contain: textThe New Paltz Fire Department is actively seeking local men and women who want to serve their community. We are looking for volunteers to “Join Our Crew” and help out. Currently the department is 100% volunteer and runs about 700 fire calls per year. Our district includes the State University of New York at New Paltz, a 20 mile portion of the New York State Thruway, the Village of New Paltz and the Town of New Paltz. We provide mutual aid when requested to our neighboring departments.

Membership application

Volunteers are trained at no cost to them and are only required to work 15% of all fire calls to maintain membership. Volunteers are not required to have a driver’s licence, but must be able to quickly arrive to the fire station on Plattekill Ave.
