Welcome to New Voices, New Visions, a collection of the best student writing from the State University of New York College at New Paltz’s Writing & Rhetoric Program. These essays, memoirs, letters, and projects were created for you!
Here, you will find a variety of modes, genres, and rhetorical situations that students encounter and respond to in their college studies and beyond. It is our hope that New Voices, New Visions will not only be enjoyed by parents/caregivers, prospective students, faculty and staff across the disciplines, but also prompt current students to develop their skills by providing a variety of examples that demonstrate what is possible when we reach out to connect with others. Students in our Composition I and Writing & Rhetoric courses, we hope you’ll be inspired as you develop your academic, personal, and professional voices.
