After speaking to Andrea on the phone, she mentioned photography as my medium for my projects. Since, I already use photos that I take, I thought I would try to utilize photography as the base, but also incorporate encaustics. I still want to use subtractive methods as well as the pan pastels, and my coworker does all her work utilizing encaustics. The other night we had a little workshop where she showed me a few techniques, and she is planning on have another workshop which she will introduce me to image transfers–using the photos I take. Posted above is my practice encaustic piece from that workshop.
