His books range from being about nuclear wars to which side of the bread to butter. Kate takes the readers through the whole life of Dr. Seuss and all his accomplishments.

Review: This book was very informational. I was even introduced to other books that he wrote and the meaning behind them. It is interesting how much writers incorporate their life experiences into their writings. This book was created in a way to show how the events of one persons life can touch the lives of thousands of others.

Content Area Connection:

  • Art: The author uses pictures to go with the details in the book. This is a good example to show the children how to illustrate what is being portrayed in the writing.
  • History: Some of the events take place during other times in history. Including this in a lesson about World War II can be a good icebreaker into discussion about other works of art and literature during those times.
