I think one of the things that helped the laser cut project go so smooth was making it in cardboard first. I was able to visualize the object in a 3D form, because working in illustrator is 2D and was more difficult to visualize. I struggled the most with getting the top of the petal interlocking part to line up because it was a more complicated intersection. I really like how it turned out. I have never laser cut before and didn’t realize how simple it can be once you have your design in illustrator.
