I was just watching the science teacher do an experiment in the hallway pertaining to the length of digestive systems. Students had to measure their digestive tracks using yarn and compare their data with other classmates. Observing this experiment made me think of my own research pertaining to  left brain vs. right brain studies in alignment with IEP classifications. I was searching online and have been checking out works by artists, Dave Rutnman, Yink Healy and Emily Mclaughlin.  I am switching gears into changing the direction of my own artworks from altered books to in depth studies of body functions, brain activities and cell studies…..

  1. That’s a pretty cool switch! I always loved how intricate the body systems are visually. I think that the images you’ve provided are so beautiful, too. I can’t wait to see where you go with this. Are you getting rid of your altered book altogether or just doing studies within the book now?
