This past week has been insane, probably the most busy I’ve been at school all year. I am working with my students on the large cyanotype for the unity day this Saturday 4/29. However, I finished (are we ever really finished) with the pine cone drawing and started a bumble bee ball point drawing.

  1. I like the addition of the white trees and I’m also drawn to the area with the roots! Once again Jenn, awesome job! Oh and fyi, Im with you on being overwhelmed this week!!! It has been the worst and I can’t wait until June haha

  2. love the way the pine cone has been absorbed into elements of earlier works. it functions as background texture, the bee is a very different sort of image, curious how you’ll work that in.

Is the top image meant to be horizontal? feels like the white “trees” should be pointing up.

  3. Jenn, I cannot wait to see how you progress with these! You have some skills when it comes to pen, continue on, you are so fluid and loose when you draw and paint! I love the breath your pieces speak!

  4. nicely done. I see the progression here and the rotation – which I like – very interesting palimpsest. wondering how that might be similar to an urban-scape and student’s perceptions of community.
