With this revision, I brought us closer to the viewer and added more highlights the reflect the sunset on us. I learned to do this later in my digital memory paintings, so I went back and added it here to make them more cohesive.

I don’t think I’ve seen this one before. I like it a lot, particularly with the colors you used in the sky and reflection. Also, I think moving you guys closer was the right choice!
Taylor, you really have a great sense for color and landscape. I really love what your are doing now, placing yourself within the memory, very different from what Im used to seeing with your work. Still, there remains a strong sense of traditionalism within your work!
I agree, these digital paintings recontextualize your traditional skills in an interesting way– the color is particularly striking: even though its a romantic sunset, it’s still a bit foreboding
