This week, I added a few layers of washes to my pine cone, This upcoming week im going to layer more organic, and some india ink trees on top, or branches. I’m not sure if I like the harsh breaks in color.

While I like the colors themselves, I see what you mean about the harsh breaks in the colors. As you said you were interested in creating more organic layers, that will probably be able to hide the harsh breaks occurring. I also know that you are often inspired by things around you and was wondering if the colors you chose had a deeper meaning at all or if you were inspired from any one thing in particular when choosing those colors.
