So I thought I would share what I did yesterday for my pd day. I went back to the Hessel at Bard. Don’t worry guys the security guards weren’t as bad a they were the last time that we were there. As a department we learned about how to analyze contemporary art in the classroom and get students more engaged by working first, and then viewing artwork to get students accustom to being comfortable with ambiguity while making work. The training center that came was Lincoln Center Education. They have great resources for classroom teachers and working artists alike. I thought of Lindsay W because she is interested in Museum studies in art education. I can upload any files from the training if anyone is interested!
That sounds really cool Jenn! If you could, I would love to see whatever files you got from it. Also, glad to hear that the security guards weren’t as bad as last time haha
Agreed, that does sound like a good PD Jenn. My department went to Westchester Center for Community Arts the other day for PD and participated in different courses. It was interesting but what you’re describing sounds really beneficial! I would also be interested in the files too!
