Imperialism: The highest stage of capitalism

Captures Lenin’s pamphlet, “Imperialism: the highest stage of capitalism” – H. Brar emphasizes that imperialism is stage in capitalism, not an optional action. As monopoly capital and financialization of the economy speeds up, the carving up of lands and war becomes inevitable.  J. Brar points to the panic among the capitalist classes that socialism poses; they respond by muddying the waters around the concept of imperialism. H. Brar talks about how imperialism is characterized the export of capital and not commodities. So money is exported to other places and the profits are imported. The result is that the once colonized countries become increasingly pauperized and the working classes at home either bought off (especially, the professional managerial segment of the working class) or made powerless.  Over time, the gravity of capital gets stronger, strengthening the system.
