Samus Aran

Metroid and Super Smash Series (August 6, 1986) The character Samus is from the action-adventure game series of Metroid and Super Smash series. The main character is also a female character with superb reflexes used to eradicate an invasive alien race. In the Super Smash series Samus can be played to do an all out battle with other Nintendo characters. The creator of Samus Aran thought it would be funny to make the character female because the entire time she has a suit on and you don’t know if it’s a guy or girl. So in the end when Samus took the suit of it be a surprise because she was in a bikini, which sexualized her.

Removing Samus’ armour to reveal her gender at the end of Metroid, is somewhat viewed as progressive, because the player realizes that she was a woman all along! However, due to her bikini and the way she undresses to reward the player, she is still ultimately a object of sexual objectification, and a prize. WHO SLEEPS LIKE THAT?
