Earlier Info on the event….

We invite the campus and wider community to participate in an interactive evening of creative sharing and collective expression on the Courtyard / Sojourner Truth Library quad.  The event is designed by students to amplify and center underrepresented voices.  Each of the last two years, over 200 people attended. There will be a faculty panel in November where you can learn about how educators have used this teaching moment to connect course content to topics that are relevant to students’ lived experience.

What does health, wellness, and environmental justice look like?

What needs to be said right now?
What do we all need to hear?
How might our creative acts meet this moment?

How might we come together to celebrate being alive together?
How should the heart of our campus beat?

Let’s be courageous and show up for each other. Let’s have fun, let’s do things differently, for a change. Why not?

Rather than sequencing activities, we will layer different modes of expression, so they fluidly respond to each other and create an experiential whole.

Our plans for Sound Your Truth 2023 are evolving and will be shaped by YOUR contributions.  To get a sense of involvement possibilities, please see the documentation of SOUND YOUR TRUTH 2021.
