AYURE Grant applications due early September: Research, Scholarship & Creative Activities

Please consider applying for a Fall 2022 Academic Year Undergraduate Research Experience (AYURE) grant.

These AYURE grants provide funds (up to $750) for scholarly collaborations between faculty and undergraduate students during the Fall semester. See our website or the attached Call for Proposals for details and the application.

Visit AYURE Grant Website

Who can apply?

The grant program is open to all full-time faculty (instructors, lecturers, tenure-track and tenured professors). We welcome applications from all academic divisions (the five colleges and the library).
We support various types of projects. The main requirement is that, through one-on-one training from the faculty expert, the project extends the undergraduate student’s learning and professional development beyond what is possible in the classroom.

Why apply?

The AYURE grant can fund many scholarly expenses — supplies, books, software, participant payments, and so on — totaling $750.
The grant offers other benefits, too. The proposal-writing experience can be good for students. So can winning an award. Plus all student & faculty grant winners are automatically eligible for travel support to present their project after its completion (pending campus and NY State rules, as always…).
Please feel free to email me with questions or to seek informal feedback about a proposal.
