Registration is open for Essential Communication Skills for Teaching, the first course in the Teaching and Learning Certificate for New Faculty Program at https://suny.edu/tlnfcert  which begins May 18.

Delivered 100% asynchronous online in Blackboard, the program provides all of the knowledge and skills you need to teach college courses and also gives you the experience of what it is like to be a student in a well-designed online course.

The other two courses (Learning Theories and Effective Teaching Practices and Evaluation & Assessment) take place in the Fall of 2021 and conclude November 22. The courses are not sequential so you can take only one course or spread them out through taking some when they are offered again in 2022. Each course lasts six weeks and requires about 2-4 hours per week to complete.
