Faculty Make Face Masks and Protective Gear to Meet Regional Needs

Within the School of Education, there is a collaboration between the CIE@NP, the NYS Master Teacher Program and the Mid-Hudson Teacher Center which has brought together area teachers, SUNY NP faculty and graduate students to 3D print surgical mask straps and components for face shields with support from Discover Camp and ICL Customs. We have already delivered shields to Vassar Bros, Northern Dutchess, Kingston and Benedictine hospitals along with mask straps to several municipalities and medical personnel. We are now reaching out to underserved and overlooked groups and are currently working with the Anderson Center for Autism and Greystone Programs.
