Lecture Attendance and Response

On October 7th the campus will host a lecture on “Jewish Responses to The Merchant of Venice” at 7:30 in LC 104. You can count your attendance at the lecture as your Activity if you write a brief response paper (about 1-2 pages) that discusses what you learned from the talk, how it helped you think about Shakespeare, and what insights you gained about Shakespeare’s work from the discussion. If you choose this option I strongly recommend that you read or watch a film version of Merchant before attending the lecture.
