My name is Dr. Erin Newcomb.

I have been teaching English since 2002, with a focus on rhetoric and writing across disciplines. I also teach young adult literature, American literature, and women’s literature.

• PhD in Curriculum & Instruction and Women’s Studies, The Pennsylvania State University
• MA in English, The Pennsylvania State University
• BA in English, Lafayette College

I have been working in higher education since 2002, and at SUNY New Paltz since 2008. I am a literacy education professional who has worked with students from elementary school to adults.

In addition to teaching writing, I work as a professional writer and editor.
