This project was our final one and consisted of an illustrated essay and catalogue using Google Slides. We were instructed to choose a public monument or memorial and find links, connections between it and other images.

I chose the National Stonewall Monument because of its surrounding controversies and my own interest in LGBTQ+ issues. Using a compare/contrast thematic idea, I pondered the way the issues surrounding the LGBTQ+ communities have shifted and morphed into new ideas.

Out of all of the projects we have been assigned this semester, this one was most definitely my favorite. It was engaging, inclusive, and left room for creativity!
