You will work with a partner to teach a poem or song to the class. 

After you and your partner lead the class in singing/reciting the poem/song (actively and with enthusiasm, as I will have demonstrated to you), you and your partner will lead the class in phonemic awareness and phonics activities using the poem/song.

Grading Checklist (5 points)

1. Chose appropriate poem or song (1 point)

2. Used teaching dispositions while teaching class (2 points)

3. Taught appropriate CCSS-related activities for song or poem (1point)

4. Evidence of collaborative planning and teaching (1point)
