3 things I learned

  1. reading comprehension is more than just a reader extracting meaning from text.
  2. where one does the reading actually affects ones understanding of the reading
  3. When new learning is taking place new the brain change and adds more neurons and synapses

2 connections made

When I came to America at 5 years old I was able to learn English much faster compared to my 18 years older brother

I do notice that I retain the reading more when I get to discuss it and read them over with my peers in group work.

1 thing I’m wondering about?

Does Alzheimer’s disease kill off neurons and synapses as well?
