In order to embed a link (on Hawksites/WordPress, in email, or on Google Docs), follow these simple steps:

  1. Highlight the text you want people to be able to click on to access the link you’re embedding:
  2. Copy the URL for the web address in the address window at the top of your screen: Highlighted URL to copy
  3. Click on the link icon in the toolbar: WordPress edit post toolbar, Insert/edit Link icon is circled
  4. Paste the URL in the window that appears:
  5. Click the arrow button and the text you highlighted in step #1 should now appear as a hyperlink (the font turns blue)
