The Alumni in Media Panel will feature New Paltz Alumni who are currently working in the media industry. The guests will include:
- Rachaell Dama – Hudson Valley-Based Costumer

- Stephanie Ryba – Associate Producer at Paramount Digital & Unscripted Studios, Kids & Family
- James Ferguson – Vice President of Digital Solutions & Partnerships at Active International
- Heidi Vanderlee – Founder of Positive Jam PR
- Brandon Worden – Live Video Operator
The Alumni Panel will begin at 10:00am, followed by the Keynote Speaker at 12:30pm. This year’s Keynote Speaker is ’05 Alumni Erin Brady, Senior Producer of Good Morning America.
Erin Brady is an alumna from our department back in 2005. In her Seminar project, she and her team created a documentary that focused on people who train service dogs–one segment focused on training seeing-eye dogs, one segment focused on police who train K9s, and the final segment in that project focused on a man who trained bomb-sniffing dogs during the Vietnam conflict.
Since then, Erin has worked in ops at Nightline, became a Field Producer at Nightline, and then moved over to Good Morning America. She is now a Senior Producer there and works as Michael Strahan’s producer–including his appearances at this year’s Superbowl, and they’re currently at the Vatican covering Pope Francis’ funeral. Take a look at some of her work here!
She is incredibly down to earth, has amazing stories to share, and is an excellent person to network with, especially if you’re interested in a career in live broadcasting, documentary production, and news.

Stay tuned for further updates on Media Day, but for now mark your calendars! Media Day is presented by the Department of Digital Media & Journalism with support from the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
