Dani Gardner is an English literature graduate student, instructor of Composition I at SUNY New Paltz, trumpet player, composer, and indie rock musician. Dani is from New York City but has spent the past five years living, studying, and working in the Hudson Valley.

Dani wrote her undergraduate thesis on the cultural and rhetorical importance of zines titled “Powerful Peculiarity: Zines as a Tool to Represent Subjectivity in Peripheral Communities.” Her current coursework is focused on theories of writing as well as what is widely considered William Shakespeare’s least known and most lowly regarded plays, Pericles, Prince of Tyre.

Dani’s favorite musician is Adrianne Lenker. When she’s not doing work for school, she’s making music and going for walks. Her favorite geographical feature is a bluff.
