The source claims that hiking became mainstream due to appreciation of land and nature as well as the works of important naturists such as Theodore Roosevelt. This source is relevant to my topic because it is describing one of the benefits of hiking. I will argue that the source proves that hiking could be used as a way to protect nature and the environment. I chose this source because it specifically mentions the environmental aspect of hiking.
