* 3Blackdot is launching a new owned/operated video and content brand and needs writers that are experienced in the digital space (fluent in YouTube and TikTok). 3BD has two video and content brands already — GWB and Alpha Betas — and wants to launch a female focused brand titled Neon Love. The brand will focus primarily on the balance between a young woman’s online versus real-life persona and identity.
They are looking to create original pieces of fiction that will live on TikTok. The pieces should be thought of as short stories. Formatting wise, we are structuring it as 10 three-minute TikTok videos where the manuscript will be read by a voice-actor and be accompanied by video, pictures, and produced content.
The short story manuscript will run around 4000 words (each “chapter” will be approximately 400 words) and be written in a serialized manner with some type of cliffhanger ending.
Interested students should contact Professor Kristopher Jansma for more information – jansmak@newpaltz.edu
