Conversation…[about racism, sexism, homophobia and intolerance is often hard. But it’s worse to shut it down altogether. Ongoing conversation helps us process anger, or sadness, or argument, find allies, and build trust…] until the next crisis.
All are welcome – New Paltz students, staff & faculty, and members of the community. This means YOU!

I’m a Republican who faces discrimination from liberals and Democrats on campus but I doubt I’d be welcomed to this for that reason. It’s still a tempting idea where I can vent my frustrations, but it’s not worth it if I don’t know I’ll be comfortable.
Alex,
My sincere apologies for missing this. Comments weren’t supported on my other blog so I hadn’t been looking. You would be very welcome to join a conversation. I can in fact offer this as a topic suggestion for future conversations. While you would definitely be in the minority, and I can’t promise your comfort, I can assure you that you would be heard with respect. Also that any discussion would accord to our mission and values as best as I can manage it.
