After a whole class read aloud, students will understand the meaning of brave and begin to write “I am” sentences. Example, “I am brave.”

1. (Calendar) After explicit instructional routine, Calendar, students will be able to count on from any number 0-20, compare two numbers 0-10, and add two numbers together with a sum up to 10 with guidance.
2. (Number Formation) After modeling number formation, students will be able to skywrite and identify numbers 0-10 independently.

After explicit instruction of sight words using the text  5 Little Pumpkins, students will be able to identify 9 sight words independently with prompting in isolation
