Brief Assignment 2
Annotated Bibliography
Small Assignment II Thesis & Annotated Bibliography
Reflection
After I found a topic that caught my attention, I had to find reliable resources and information to help build my paper. First, I spent time searching for answers like who and what. This process was relatively easy because they could be found after searching for a few keywords. However, once I had to go into much more depth and research, I found myself sitting at my desk for hours. One main problem I had, was not knowing what exactly I had to look for. I was not sure what other keywords I had to use. After much time, I searched for words other than “Kodak” and shifted towards “amateur photography”. As new words kept coming to my mind, I was able to look for new questions to ask, and fell deeper into different rabbit holes. The Library database was a very helpful resource because I knew my sources were reliable. The Critical Reading Worksheets were also very helpful for this assignment. These worksheets were able to give me a better understanding of what I should be looking for in a source and the questions I should be asking myself while researching. Something important I learned about summarizing sources was to always acknowledge the author and make sure to not sound biased. Once I completed the revisions for my annotated bibliography, I knew I was going to have a great outline to look back on. I know what to look for in a source and how to give a birds-eye view in writing. Now that my annotated bibliography is completed, I feel like I am really prepared for the major writing assignment. I don’t have to struggle to find any more sources and I already know what each source addresses. I am glad I was able to find reliable resources that could back up the topic I am interested in.
