Virtual Presentation
Synopsis:
This virtual presentation was something I’ve never done before, so it was an experience. It was also amusing to me because I enjoyed the topic I discussed. I specifically made this presentation for the administrators and all the professors at SUNY New Paltz that could help fix this issue. If we want to get down to rock bottom, I think the person in charge who creates these general education requirements needs to hear this. I am requesting change and want everyone seeing this to spread the word and get people to push for government funding and less requirements. When people view this presentation, I think it comes off as very persuasive but not so demanding. Everyone takes things differently so I think it would have gotten around more if I left people undecided. I am also not going to force people to side with me because what’s meant to happen will happen. I think with the sources I have used people will find me creditable. I think the class survey here at SUNY New Paltz helps considering it is students that experience these issues in their day to day lives. I think my presentation appeals to logic and gives people a reason to back me. I also use a lot of statistical facts that can’t be argued against. I don’t use much pathos besides showing how sad It is for student that are so smart, but don’t have the finances to go to their dream school. I think my voice was calming, not coming off too demanding but very persuasive. I think the images I used were good and interesting. They all had good meaning behind them. I didn’t use many designs on my slide, but I was trying to keep things simple.
